#WeAllHaveAbility – the December Accessibility Challenge has arrived

GUELPH, Ontario – Did you know that according to the World Health Organization at least 2.2 billion people have a vision impairment and that at least 1 billion people have a vision impairment that could have been prevented or has yet to be addressed?

Now that the snow and ice have started falling in our community, we are asking students and staff to pay attention this December and think about the latest Accessibility Challenge.

Accessibility Challenge:

This month, take a winter walk as a class or with your family and make a note of all the accessibility barriers you see in your neighbourhood. As a class or family, discuss the ways that you can help eliminate these barriers in your community.
