February 23, 2021

GUELPH, Ontario – The Upper Grand District School Board has launched a new parent website focusing on mental health.

The new UGDSB parent/guardian website for child, youth and family well-being launched Tuesday at www.ugdsb.ca/mhugparents.

The UGDSB is committed to creating a welcoming, safe and inclusive learning environment that recognizes the essential connection between mental health and student achievement. The well-being of students is a shared responsibility and the board works to ensure all stakeholders are able to collaborate in a coordinated, responsive and effective manner.

The new website features sections on parent well-being, supporting student well-being, events, resources for those living in Dufferin County, Wellington County, Guelph, and more.

“The UGDSB recognizes the impact COVID-19 has had on parents and caregivers,” said Jenny Marino, UGDSB Mental Health and Addictions Lead. “We hope that this website will provide clear information and resources to support parents in our collective efforts to support student mental health and well-being.”

To visit the website, go to www.ugdsb.ca/mhugparents.
