Webinar on understanding human trafficking still available to view for parents/guardians

Guelph, ON —  On January 31, 2023,  Cindy McMann, Educator, and Jaseth Purcell, Human Trafficking Counsellor, from Women In Crisis presented an informative webinar about understanding the dangers of human trafficking: what it is, how traffickers operate, red flags and risk factors, and ways to talk about this issue with young people.

Parents/caregivers will receive an overview of the Anti-Human Trafficking presentation that is being delivered to Grade 7 and 10 students at the UGDSB and WCDSB.

Resources that are available to support youth in school as well as in the community will also be provided.
