September 30 is Orange Shirt Day, a day for people to come together in the spirit of reconciliation and to keep discussing openly all aspects of residential schools.

The Terry Fox Run is an annual non-competitive walk/run held by O.D.S.S. each year in commemoration of Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox, and his Marathon of Hope, and to raise money for cancer research.
