Progress Report Cards & Interview Information

Hello Alma PS Families.  This week is an important part of our school year as staff are communicating with you formally about student progress through the Progress Report Card.  We are also preparing to sign up for our virtual interviews.  Given that this is a virtual process that will be new for some of our families, here are some important things you need to know:

Monday, November 15, 2021

  • An email will be sent outlining the process.
  • If you haven’t signed up and activated your parent portal access yet, please do so ASAP.  Instructions on how to do so can be found at
  • If you have tried to access your parent portal and are still having challenges after trying the troubleshooting tips at the link above, please contact the school office.
  • The school will be uploading our report cards to the Parent Portal.  This will be happening at every elementary school across the Board and the plan is that access will be provided to report starting tomorrow.  Thanks for your patience in advance if this process takes a little longer than first expected as this is a centrally managed program.  As with all new processes, there are sometimes technical issues.  Being our second time attempting digital access we trust the process will go smoothly.

  • The Parent Portal will have your student’s report card available for viewing.
  • The school will send home a page with every student for the parent feedback portion of the report card.  To help families from having to print and send back a form, please cut off the bottom portion of this page and send it back to your child’s teacher.
  • The School will be posting information about signing up for Parent-Teacher Interviews in your child’s Google Classroom.  Instructions are also available here as well:

Wednesday, November 17, 2021

  • Families can send back the parent feedback form to the school.
  • Access to the Parent-Teacher Interview system will be available starting on Wednesday, November 17 at 6:30 AM.  Interviews will be 10 minutes in length.  Access will be available until noon on Wednesday, November 24.
  • Interviews are being offered in a Google Meet format.  If for some reason you would prefer a phone interview, please email the teacher to let them know.


Wednesday, November 24, 2021

  • The Parent-Teacher Interview Portal closes at noon.

Thursday, November 25, 2021

  • Interviews will start taking place after school until 8:00 PM.

Friday, November 26, 2021 (PA Day)

  • Interviews will be taking place from 8:55 AM – 3:15 PM.
