Chicken Fundraiser & Milk Program Update
Hello Alma PS Families!
Here are two important pieces of information for you as we start our week:
Chicken Fundraiser
The Alma Optimists Club has generously offered to host another fundraiser for our school selling Elmira Poultry. They are hoping to have all online orders placed by February 20th with delivery to be scheduled for about two weeks afterwards. Milk Program
We are ready to begin our Milk Program here at Alma PS. Milk will be sold through School Cash Online orders only. There is a link at the end of this email for the orders to be placed. If this is a new program for your family, we have attached a helpful flyer to get you started.
Milk cards will be available for $22 which will purchase 25 milks. Your child may choose white or chocolate milk each day it is being offered. If you would like to have your child receive only one type of milk, please email the school and we will make a note of that on your child’s card when we assign it to them.
Each day, Mr. Boyce or our yard supervisor will visit your child’s class just before the first break. We will mark their card if they choose to have milk that day. When a card is used completely, the card will be returned in the child’s lunch bag, signalling the need to order a new card if you would like to purchase one.
Cards can be ordered anytime using School Cash Online. Once we receive the order at the school, your child will have their new card added to the ring of cards for their classroom. Cards will be for sale up until May 22, 2022. That will ensure that your child has the opportunity to use up their final milk card spaces before the end of the year. All unused spaces on a milk card will not be able to be carried over for next year so please adjust your purchasing accordingly.
Cards will be available for purchase starting today. We will place our first order for milk this week with the program beginning officially on Tuesday, February 22. Placing your order for a card before Wednesday of this week will help to ensure our initial order is large enough to meet demand. Thank you for your patience in the first week or two as we adjust our ordering to meet the needs of cards being purchased. As we adapt to a more streamlined and COVID-protocol-friendly system, there’s sure to be a few things to work out so thanks in advance for your patience and understanding.
