The mission of Arthur Public School, a friendly rural JK – 8 School, is to challenge our students to pursue excellence and attain a love of learning through a quality learning environment.
Arthur Public School is a JK to grade 8 school that serves the town of Arthur and surrounding area, joined by students from Keniworth in grade 7. This school site was officially opened in the Fall of 2006.
Arthur Public School is proud to be an environmentally conscious facility with a focus on environmental stewardship. We are an ECO school, and a Green Legacy School. We have ongoing activities within the school to ensure we are as “green” as possible. Our spectacular school grounds include a tree nursery, and outdoor classroom, and a Forest of Reading garden.
We invite parents to become actively involved in our school and to maintain close communication with staff as partners in the educational process. Arthur Public School has an extremely active School Council that meets monthly and organizes many special events for our school. We encourage you to become involved with this group. You may contribute a little or a lot, all help is appreciated.
At Arthur Public School we value:
Acceptance-Accept yourself and others for both your similarities and differences.
Respect-Show respect for individuals and school property.
Teamwork-Work together towards a better community.
Honesty-Be true to yourself and others.
Uniqueness-Celebrate each other.
Responsibility–Be responsible for yourself and your actions.
We look forward to the opportunities that the school year will offer.
