Centennial CVI hosts Science Olympics
Centennial CVI in Guelph ran a successful Science Olympics event for five schools on Friday, December 5, 2014.
The visiting schools were Guelph CVI, John F. Ross CVI, Our Lady of Lourdes CHS, and Bishop MacDonell CHS.
“What a wonderful day!” said science teacher Ruth Tanner. “The students all seemed to enjoy themselves, and want us to continue running the event.”
Centennial students took 1st place in Chemistry Boggle and Computer Challenge, and a 2nd place in Science Jeopardy. “Ross beat us by a very narrow margin :)” said Tanner in an email.
The rivalry for science gold, silver and bronze will continue with a second Science Olympiad in December 2015.
