Parents and teachers invited to SEAC event on helping students thrive

GUELPH, Ontario – Later this month, the Upper Grand DSB’s Special Education Advisory Committee is hosting an event for parents, teachers, staff and community partners.
The goal of the event is to collaborate with parents and teachers, in order to help meet children’s needs at school.
The event will feature keynote speaker Sarah McVanel. McVanel has earned degrees in Psychology, Family Relations and Organizational Development. She is a strengths-based coach, author and runs a consulting firm – Greatness Magnified – which helps clients discover their potential their purpose and their passion and to implement clear and effective growth strategies. McVanel will take parents through her presentation on helping kids, students and schools can thrive.
Following McVanel’s keynote, attendees will participate in break-out sessions. A light lunch will be provided.
