Attention grade 8 students: Applications are now being accepted for the IB Preparatory Program

GUELPH, Ontario – Applications are now being accepted for the 2021-22 International Baccalaureate (IB) Preparatory Program.

The IB Preparatory Program is for students in grades 9 and 10 and is held at Guelph CVI. The program prepares students to be organized planners, confident learners and innovative thinkers.

Students who are currently in grade 8 and are interested in the IB Preparatory Program are encouraged to submit an application online at https://www.ugdsb.ca/ib-gcvi/application/.

Applications are due by December 4, 2020.

This month, grade 8 students in the Upper Grand District School Board will be given the opportunity to learn more about the Preparatory Program, through an introductory video played in their classroom and a live Q&A where students can ask questions about the program and about high school in general.

Parents/guardians are invited to the board’s IB Information Night, which will be held virtually on Tuesday November 10 at 7pm. The parent/guardian presentation will also be recorded and posted on the IB website for parents who were unable to attend the live virtual event.
