Bell time changes for 3 secondary schools – John F. Ross CVI, CCVI, and CHSS

The bell times/instructional day times will be changed slightly for three UGDSB secondary schools: John F. Ross CVI, Centennial CVI, and College Heights SS. 

The new bell times are as follows:

These changes will come into effect on Wednesday September 15, 2021.

Please note that these changes in the bell times do not affect busing times – buses will continue to pick up and drop off students at the set time they have currently. The changes affect the school’s instructional day hours. 

The reason for these changes is so schools can better align the school day with current busing schedules, ensuring that the amount of time students wait for their school bus at the end of the day is reduced. As well, this change will ensure students arrive on time for their period one class in the morning.

Schools will communicate with their students and families directly about these changes, and information will be posted on school websites.
