Board Meeting Highlights for December 2019

GUELPH, Ontario – The December meeting of the Upper Grand District School Board was held on December 17, 2019. The following provides highlights from the meeting.

Orangeville/Dufferin and Erin Secondary French Immersion (FI) Information Report

Staff presented an information report giving an overview of French Immersion (FI) programming at the secondary level in Orangeville/Dufferin and Erin. The report did not contain any recommendations, but rather provided trustees with an overview and data that they may consider in future planning processes.

The report included data on secondary FI enrolment and retention, FI courses and class sizes, information from previous processes, and current financial and operational considerations.

The next regular monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday January 28, 2020, at the Guelph Board Office, 500 Victoria Road North. Everyone is welcome to attend. The meeting begins at 7 p.m.
