CCVI Mathematicians claim top prize at competition

GUELPH, Ontario – The Centennial Collegiate Vocational Institute Spartan Mathematicians have claimed the first place prize at the Canadian Team Mathematics Competition.
The Canadian Team Mathematics Competition is run by the University of Waterloo and is open to secondary school students who work in teams of six.
Teams are given a series of questions and the chance to solve them collaboratively. After that, students are given individual problems to solve and then they participate in math relays. Calculators are not permitted during the team round.
CCVI students Aro, Muttaqi, Albert, Eddie, Peter and Andy made their school proud with their perfect score in the individual event.
