CCVI students take top 3 spots at Ontario accounting contest

October 5, 2018

GUELPH, Ontario – Students from Centennial Collegiate Vocational Institute have taken the top three spots in a provincial accounting contest.

Cathy, Matthew and Albert are grade 11 students at CCVI. In May, they competed in the Ontario Business Educators’ Association (OBEA) senior accounting contest.

Students from across the province must complete 100 multiple-choice questions online, which are based on course curriculum.

In a remarkable result for the school, Cathy placed first, Matthew placed second, and Albert placed third. They received their awards at a luncheon in Toronto on September 29.

The OBEA accounting contest was sponsored by CPA Ontario.

Congratulations to Cathy, Matthew and Albert!
