Centennial CVI invites former students back to speak to current classes

December 23, 2016

GUELPH, Ontario – The academic council at Centennial Collegiate Vocational Institute invited more than 30 alumni that graduated within the past 10 years back to the school to talk to current students.

Former CCVI students used the opportunity to speak with grade 11 and 12 students about their experiences with college/university and their experiences since leaving CCVI.

The panel of graduates came from a variety of disciplines and were eager to share their post-high school experiences.

Current classes attended a panel discussion that focused on several areas of interest. Areas included nursing, biology, other medical fields, pure sciences, math, engineering, business and commerce, as well as the arts and social sciences.

The majority of the students that attended the panel were able to have one-on-one discussion about possible programs they may want to take after high school.

The event was a success and the academic council has hopes to host future events of this nature.
