CHSS Huskies celebrate the holidays and showcase their talents

GUELPH, Ontario – In the week leading up to the holiday break, College Heights Secondary School organized a number of events that got everyone into the holiday spirit and showcased the skills of the students.
Tuesday to Friday featured the CHSS Green Industries Holiday Boutique. The annual event featured beautiful works created by a number of classes including SHSM, Technological Education, Arts and more.
Handcrafted items for sale included seasonal centrepieces and wreaths, ornaments, holiday cards, hot sauces, jams, handmade soaps, bath salts and mud masks, custom metalwork, fine woodworking and more.
On Wednesday, students from the school’s Hospitality and Baking classes put on a feast for the school, hosting a holiday luncheon for the student population and special guests. Staff got into the spirit, serving food decked out in their holiday best.
The school’s Hairstyling and Aesthetics program also got into the holiday spirit with a Holiday Beauty Blitz. Over the past month, the students have been offering salon services like manicures, lash tints, lifts and extensions, hair extensions, highlights and more.
The Holiday Boutique runs Tuesday to Thursday from 11am-3:30pm and on Friday from 10am-12pm.
