CHSS to start fundraising campaign for outdoor classroom
March 12, 2020
GUELPH, Ontario – College Heights Secondary School is starting a “Click a Brick” fundraiser to help them build an outdoor classroom.
Click a Brick is an online campaign that asks people to purchase “bricks.” The money raised from each brick will be donated to building the outdoor classroom.
The idea of this fundraiser was to try and make sure that students and parents could be part of the process, meaning that donations can vary depending on how many “bricks” one wishes to purchase. By purchasing a brick, participants names will be added to a plaque that will be displayed near the outdoor classroom.
The school has set a fundraising goal of $3,000 to build their outdoor classroom. CHSS Parent Council has been busy fundraising throughout the year. During first semester they hosted a photo shoot where families could have a 15-minute sitting with a photographer. This fundraiser brought in close to $700 for the outdoor classroom.
To participate in the Click a Brick fundraiser, visit the College Heights Secondary School website. Click a Brick donations are tax deductible. The fundraiser will run between March 23 and May 15.
The school would like to extend their thanks to the parent council for taking the lead on this fundraiser and helping students achieve their goal of an outdoor classroom.
