Conestoga College and UGDSB offering Summer School Dual Credit Courses

GUELPH, Ontario – In partnership with Conestoga College, the Upper Grand District School Board Dual Credit program is offering Grade 12 students the option of taking a Summer School Dual Credit course beginning on Tuesday, July 6 and running until Friday, July 16 (no classes on Mondays).
The Dual Credit program allows students to earn one credit that will count toward both their Secondary School Transcript and a College Transcript. Students will be fully supported by a secondary school teacher while participating in this course.
The courses being offered this summer are:
- Intro to Residential Carpentry (Interior Finishing) – in-person *Waitlisted
- Intro to Residential Carpentry (Exterior Finishing) – in-person
- Trades Math in the Shop – in-person
- Cyberpsychology – remote
Students cannot be registered in more than one summer school program in the same session (i.e. students cannot register for a summer school Dual Credit course and another summer school course).
How to register for an Online Summer School Dual Credit Course:
- Review the Summer School Dual Credit flyer to decide which course you would like to apply to as spaces are limited.
NOTE: These courses are aimed toward Grade 12 students who are within 1 or 2 credits of graduation. If you are currently a grade 11 student, you will be added to a waitlist and if there are spaces available following the registration deadline of June 23rd, your application might be considered.
- Register using the Online Summer School Dual Credit Application Form before the deadline of 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 23.
