During the festival, CWDHS students spoke to kindergarten and grade one students from James McQueen PS and Victoria Terrace PS about the importance of water.

As part of a presentation about the value of water, students learned many important water facts including the fact that 78% of a baby’s body is made up of water and that lungs in a human body are made up of 83% water.

Throughout the day students learned about farming activities from the viewpoint of how water is used daily in the farming industry. Students had the opportunity to feel what it is like to milk a cow – using a bucket and balloons, learn about chickens, brush a cow and more.

During this fun educational day, students learned many ways to help save our water.
