Grade 8 students, parents invited to learn more about high school programs

For Immediate Release
November 21, 2017

GUELPH, Ontario – Grade 8 students and their parents/guardians are invited to learn more about the great opportunities Upper Grand DSB high schools have to offer – from academics and trades to sports, music and the arts.

In addition to offering many of the Ministry-approved courses that make up the Ontario Curriculum, every secondary school in the UGDSB also offers courses, packages or programs that are unique, inspired by the interests of the students, staff and community. These programs range from specialized arts and sports programs, to environmental leadership programs and locally-focused food and agriculture programs.

Most parent information nights include a special presentation about the high school, its programs and the registration process. Both parents and their teenaged children can also tour the school and ask the principal and teachers more about programs and other opportunities.
