John F. Ross CVI grad set to run 150 km for cancer research

April 26, 2021

GUELPH, Ontario – Former John F. Ross Collegiate Vocational Institute student Haley Davis, is preparing for a 150 km fundraising run to benefit cancer research.

Suffering from a rare type of Brain Tumor, Davis said her inspiration for the fundraiser comes from the life of Terry Fox and her own experience.

Starting in May, Davis plans to complete the Guelph to Goderich Rail Trail in five days, running two 15-km intervals per day with her father by her side on his bike.

Funds that Davis raises during this campaign will be donated to the Terry Fox Foundation and The Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada. Her original goal of raising $10,000 has been met and has reached over $18,000 and counting.
