John F Ross CVI presents Urinetown: The Musical

GUELPH, ON – After eight months of rehearsals, the Ross Arts Program at John F Ross CVI is pleased to present Urinetown: The Musical.
Urinetown: The Musical is a satirical comedy musical that satirizes the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility and more. First performed in 2001, Urinetown still has something to say about the world we live in.
This musical, which students and staff have been working on for several months, will be the school’s first musical debut in seven years.
According to Meaghan Lugsdin, Director of the production, “It has been amazing to watch this incredible group of students grow and learn through the medium of theatre. To watch them surpass every expectation that we have outlined for them has been so rewarding. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with this group of students.”
Students and staff involved in the musical invite members of the community to see their talents when the show opens in May.
Performances of Urinetown: The Musical will be May 11-13 at the EL Fox Auditorium starting at 7:00pm.
Tickets for the production can be purchased in advance through School Cash Online or in person at the door the night of the production.
