Ken Danby PS thrilled to open doors to school community during Education Week
May 9, 2022
On May 5, 2022, Ken Danby Public School opened its doors to the school community for the first time in 2.5 years.
To celebrate Education Week, staff and students used art to display their thoughts and feelings of the new books that have been brought into the school’s library learning commons.
Staff and students have been working hard on learning about various cultures, identities and voices. The books that were shared allowed for deep conversations into current and relevant topics.
The students were so excited to be able to share their learning and their school with their families. School staff estimate that more than 500 people attended the event and said that the vibe in the building was amazing.
The school would like to thank everyone who took the time to stop by and see the wonderful art pieces. And a big thanks to the teachers and students for putting the event together, especially Ken Danby PS’s librarian Stacey Periard for spearheading this event.
