Learning Disabilities Association to host workshop on transitioning to post-secondary

GUELPH, Ontario – The Learning Disabilities Association of Wellington County (LDAWC) is hosting a workshop called Transitioning Planning to Post-secondary on February 28 in Guelph.

LDAWC knows that transitioning between phases of life can be very difficult, so it is important to prepare and learn to make the transition easier.

The workshop will be geared toward parents/guardians of students with learning disabilities and ADHD that are considering attending college or university.

The evening will include four educators giving perspectives and planning tips as well as a question and answer period.

Parents and teens with learning disabilities or ADHD in grades 9 to 12 are invited to attend. The workshop is taking place at the Zhers Community Room (second floor) at 1045 Paisley Road, Guelph.

The workshop is $15 for non-members and $10 for LDA members. Those needing subsidies are encouraged to contact LDAWC.
