Let’s walk, wheel and roll to school on October 6!

Wednesday October 5, 2021, is International Walk to School Day, an annual event where students, families and staff are encouraged to walk, wheel or roll to school.
October is also International Walk to School Month (IWALK), which is an annual mass celebration of active transportation taking place around the world every October.
The Upper Grand District School Board is an active supporter of IWALK events and initiatives and encourages active travel to school throughout the year. For information and resources, such as the benefits of active travel and safety tips, please visit the UGDSB website.
Schools are encouraged to show us how your school community walks/wheels/rolls to school by tweeting @ugdsb using the hashtag #IWALK2School.
