Ministry of Education seeking public feedback on service animals in schools

GUELPH, Ontario – The provincial government is seeking public input from school communities on service animals in schools. 

The Ministry of Education is currently consulting on a draft Policy/Program Memorandum (PPM), School Board Policies on Service Animals.

School boards, families, students, education partners, advocacy groups, community agencies and interested individuals across the province are invited to contribute feedback on the topic of service animals in schools and classrooms. The deadline to provide feedback is May 4, 2019. 

Members of the public may access the draft PPM and survey to provide feedback online at www.ontario.ca/page/consultation-service-animals-schools.
