Mitchell Woods PS teachers shave heads for a cause

May 22, 2019

GUELPH, Ontario – On May 22, two teachers from Mitchell Woods Public School showed their school spirit by shaving their heads for a cause.

Earlier this year, three teachers at the school agreed to shave their heads and one agreed to shave his beard if students raised $5,000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation through Jump Rope for Heart.

Students at the school rose to the challenge and to date have raised more than $5,300.

During a live video assembly, two of the teachers had their heads shaved for the school to watch.

The other two teachers that plan to shave off their hair were unavailable on May 22 but have promised to do it soon.

When asked if teachers plan to set the fundraising goal higher next year, the answer was “yes.”

Great job Mitchell Woods PS!
