Parents of students with developmental disabilities invited to Community Resource Fair

GUELPH, Ontario – Parents and guardians of children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities are invited to a community resource fair that will offer a wide variety of supports and information.
The Adult Abilities Community Resource Fair will be held on November 8, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes (54 Westmount Road, Guelph).
The free event will feature a panel presentation with:
- Peter Curtis, from Disability Tax Results
- Maureen Hollinger, from Hollinger Business Services
- Ken White, from Guelph Financial – Investment Planning Counsel
The event will also feature more than 50 community agencies and businesses offering information, programs and supports to the community. Examples of resources include Ministry-funded developmental service agencies, camps, sports and recreation facilities, and employment agencies.
The resource fair is hosted in partnership by the Upper Grand District School Board, Wellington Catholic District School Board, Developmental Services Ontario, and the Passport Community Development Team.
School staff and administrators are welcome to attend.
