Parkinson Centennial PS students to explore mindfulness in Nuit Blanche-inspired art event

This December, Parkinson Centennial Public School in Orangeville will be transformed into an immersive art gallery, showcasing student work.
PCPS intermediate students were inspired by Nuit Blanche Paris, an annual all-night art exhibit where artists create meaningful art in the city streets.
PCPS’s Nuit Blanche-inspired event will feature more than 50 works of art by grade 7 and 8 students. Students have created artworks that encompass the importance of mindfulness.
The art pieces that will be on display are thought-provoking, insightful and extraordinary. Every art piece has a deep meaning for guests to uncover. As guests meander through various parts of the school, they will have the opportunity to talk to each student-artist about their creative work and truly immerse themselves in an artistic experience. Students are prepared to explain their rationale and to answer questions attendees might have about their conceptual design. Some of the art installations are immersive, requiring audience participation to complete the art piece. Students are excited to have guests become part of the artistic experience.
This event is open to the community and is not limited to just Parkinson Centennial PS families. The school is inviting the wider community to join them for an evening of imagination, creativity and togetherness.
