Ross Life Skills students showcase love of music in Canadian Music Class Challenge

December 8, 2017

GUELPH, Ontario – Students in Life Skills classes at John F. Ross CVI had a chance to showcase their love of music, as part of CBC’s Canadian Music Class Challenge.

The Ross Royals Superstars entered the annual challenge, covering the song “Lost Boy” by Ruth B.

Every year, CBC’s challenge encourages music classes from all across Canada to send in a video of them performing a pre-selected song.

Schools from across the Upper Grand District School Board have put on amazing performances throughout the years.

This year, the students at Ross came together from three different Life Skills classes, and were joined by their teachers and student buddies.

On Friday, the CBC announced its finalists for the 2017 challenge, and although the Ross Royals Superstars didn’t make the list, their goal was achieved – of coming together to sing, dance and perform together.

Congratulations to the Royals and all the UGSDB who submitted a video for this year’s challenge.
