Student work featured in Black History Month digital exhibition

February 10, 2021

Students from across the country were invited to submit original artwork and photographs to be included in the Black History Month digital exhibition “Solidarity in My Community.”

The Museum of Dufferin and the Dufferin County Canadian Black Association invited artists to submit their work for consideration. The jurors selected pieces to be featured that best exemplified the theme of “Solidarity in My Community.”

The exhibition showcases student art and photography from across the country, including submissions by Upper Grand District School Board students.

Earlier this year, the invitation for students participate was promoted by the UGDSB’s Equity Team. Thank you to UGDSB staff who offered this opportunity to students.

You can view the entire exhibition online at https://www.dufferinmuseum.com/bhm/.
