Students from 7 high schools participate in 3rd annual Band Meet-Up

ORANGEVILLE, Ontario – On April 26, secondary students from a number of Upper Grand DSB schools came to Westside Secondary School for the third annual UGDSB Dufferin-Wellington Band Meet-Up.
Students and staff from Centre Dufferin DHS, Centre Wellington DHS, Erin DHS, Norwell DSS, Orangeville DSS, Wellington Heights SS, and Westside attended the event.
During the first part of the day, the students divided into groups – woodwinds, percussion and brass. They worked on pieces of music including a piece from The Avengers movie.

Following a group rehearsal, the students performed together in the Westside theatre. It was a wonderful day of music, which people in attendance for the final performance called a joyous and truly special event.
