The Guelph Community Foundation awards scholarships to UGDSB students

GUELPH, Ontario – Four Upper Grand District School Board students have been awarded scholarships from the Guelph Community Foundation.

These students will receive grants which were set up by community fundholders to help local students achieve their goals.

According to the Guelph Community Foundation, “Many of these grants support students pursuing business, STEM related subjects, trades, athletics or those facing financial barriers. All this year’s recipients demonstrated curiosity, creativity, respect for others, their community and have shown tremendous potential.”

Centennial Collegiate Vocational Institute student Andrew D., was awarded the Class of ’71 Kathryn Winegard Memorial Scholarship of $500.

Centre Wellington District High School student Abby L., was awarded the $1,000 Mabel Anne Brouwer Scholarship Fund – Women in STEM Scholarship.

Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute student Natalie T., was awarded the $1,000 Bruce Graham Memorial Fund – Women in STEM Scholarship

Norwell District Secondary School student Enya K., was awarded the $1,000 Bruce Graham Memorial Fund – Women in STEM Scholarship.
