Three UGDSB schools win IWALK Day contest

December 18, 2019

GUELPH, Ontario – Three Upper Grand District School Board schools have won the International Walk to School Month (IWALK) contest.

IWALK is held every October and sees hundreds of Ontario schools participate by hosting IWALK Day events at their school on the first Wednesday of October.

This year 232 schools in Ontario registered and set a new record of participation for IWALK Day. Several of the schools registered for IWALK this year were UGDSB schools.

As part of the day, every school was entered into a draw and 10 were randomly selected to win a $200 Scholar’s Choice gift card.

Of the 10 winners this year, three UGDSB schools were successful.

Congratulations, Credit Meadows ES, Grand Valley and District PS and Princess Elizabeth PS!
