UGDSB continues to plan for restart of Community Use of Schools program

October 15, 2021

The board is currently working through the process of safely re-introducing permits for Community Use of Schools and we anticipate having further information available by the end of the month. The Upper Grand District School Board supports the use of school/board facilities by community members and we look forward to being in the position to once again offer spaces this fall.

Like many school boards, the UGDSB is taking a cautious approach to restarting our Community Use of Schools program to ensure safety for all.

At this time, board staff are consulting with Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health in order to finalize our protocols for Community Use of Schools, and are working to ensure our procedures for Community Use align with Ministry of Education guidelines and the Board of Trustees’ motion regarding visitors and vaccination disclosure.

Additional updates will be shared in the coming weeks.
