March 31, 2020
GUELPH, Ontario – The Upper Grand District School Board is contributing to the effort to get much-needed medical supplies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to health agencies in the community.
Over the weekend, the staff from the board’s Operations Department collected extra supplies from board sites and compiled an inventory.
Working with Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health, supplies will be available to support urgent local needs, providing vital medical supplies in the community in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The board is contributing more than 100,000 gloves as well as N95 masks and other PPE.
In the meantime, staff in the UGDSB continue to provide PPE face shield parts using 3D printers. https://www.ugdsb.ca/blog/ugdsb-increases-production-of-3d-printed-face-shields/
