UGDSB staff preparing for annual United Way fundraiser

GUELPH, Ontario – Staff in the Upper Grand District School Board are beginning their annual United Way campaign, which directly supports many agencies in our communities.
Starting February 8, UGDSB staff will begin their annual fundraising campaign. Usually held in the fall, this year’s campaign was moved to the winter due to COVID-19. Also new this year, the campaign has gone completely virtual. This fundraising campaign will run February 8 – 20, 2021.
For over 75 years, the United Way Guelph Wellington Dufferin has worked to meet the needs of the UGDSB community. United Way is directed by a board of volunteers, managed by committed staff and supported by thousands of donors. Donations to the United Way go to support many programs in our communities.
Some of the organizations that the United Way supports include Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Canadian Mental Health Association, Family and Children’s Services, Women in Crisis, local food banks and more.
