UGDSB students help in effort to provide hand sanitizer to first responders

April 28, 2020

GUELPH, Ontario – Some Upper Grand District School Board students are helping in the effort to provide sanitizer to first responders.

At the outset of the COVID-19 crisis in our region, local business Dixon’s Distillery shifted the focus of its business to make much needed hand sanitizer for local first responders, hospitals and the public.

Dixon’s is owned by the parents of a John F. Ross CVI student, Robyn. Since this shift took place, Robyn, fellow Ross student Alexandra and her sister Julia have been volunteering their time at the business doing tasks like putting labels on bottles of sanitizer and readying the containers of sanitizer for filling and distribution.

Great job, your volunteer efforts are appreciated in the community.
