Wellington Heights SS students mentored by Canadian Idol winner
April 11, 2019
MOUNT FOREST, Ontario – Students participating in Wellington Heights Secondary School’s upcoming production of Grease had the unique opportunity to work with Canadian Idol winner Theo Tams earlier this month.
Tams was the 2008 winner of Canadian Idol. Since his Idol win, Tams has released his third solo album and most recently shared his expertise with students at Wellington Heights SS.
On April 7, Tams made the trip from Toronto to Mount Forest to work with and mentor the students for their upcoming production.
Tams’ mentorship and the hard work and dedication of students and staff will make for a great production. In a statement made to the Mount Forest Confederate, Director Brayden Scott said, “In a small community like Mount Forest, to see so many kids interested in the arts, it’s very humbling to be a drama teacher and see that excitement. I think people will be really impressed.”
Tickets for Grease can be purchased at the main office at Wellington Heights SS for the May 30, 31 and June 1 performances.
