Westwood PS Hornets take the sting out of hunger

October 11, 2022

GUELPH, ON — A great job for the Westwood Public School Hornets, who demonstrated UG kindness by surpassing their donation goal.

Students at Westwood PS set out a goal to collect items to support the Hope House organization in Guelph, whose mission it is to provide services and support to those in the community who may be suffering from the symptoms of poverty and other socioeconomic challenges.

From October 3rd to the 7th, students collected, tallied and totalled the food and hygiene items donated by students and their families.

The students surpassed their goal of 500 items, collecting a total of 756 items.
