Westwood PS student wins Chromebook through Code to Learn program

GUELPH, Ontario – A grade 2 student at Westwood Public School recently won a Chromebook and some micro-bits through the Code to Learn program.
Code to Learn offers free resources to Canadian students and teachers to help them learn coding, computers and robotics. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Code to Learn has shifted its focus to learning at home.
Andy L is a student at Westwood PS who recently learned coding through the program. Andy has been attending almost every coding session. At the end of each session, every participant gets entered into a draw for a Chromebook. As part of this draw, he won a Chromebook and some micro-bits.
According to his teachers, he is a sweet, curious student who respects digital citizenship online and is well deserving of this prize.
