Dear Brant Ave families, 

October is here and the changing leaves are spectacular! Thank you for helping Brant Avenue have a very successful startup and month of September. 

#1 Updated Covid-19 Screening Tool for Children

#2 Parents and non-essential visitors currently may not enter the school. 

Due to Covid-19 parents and visitors are not permitted to enter school. Please wait outside and call the school at 519-824-2671 and press 0 to talk to the office. Make arrangements in advance when possible to pick students up early.

#3 Mark your Calendars: Thanksgiving Day (Oct. 12th) & PA Day (Oct. 30th) are both days where the school is closed for students. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

#4 World Teacher Day is Today, October 5th! Everyone at Brant Ave wants to thank our amazing teachers for what they are doing for our students today and everyday. Thank you Teachers! 

#5 Dress for the weather: Teachers of K to Gr 6 will continue taking their students outside as much as possible. We ask that students come to school prepared to be outside. The weather has turned to fall and wet days are on their way, so please ensure that enough clothes are packed to get your child through the day. Also, we can now add a pair of dry indoor shoes to items brought to the school so no one has to have wet feet. So please feel free to pack an extra pair of shoes on those rainy days. Rain won’t stop us from having fun and learning outside!

#6 Masks: Please ensure that masks fit your child(ren) correctly. Be sure that the fit is snug and comfortable. Check to be sure that your child’s nose is covered by the mask. Also, please pack extra masks. Soiled or wet masks do not provide adequate protection. 

#7 Absent or Late? If you know that your child(ren) will be absent or late please call the school 519-824-2671. You can leave a message 24 hours a day. If you leave a message on our machine and you know that your child will be absent for longer than one day please leave those details as well so the office can be as accurate as possible. Thanks!
