Healthy Snack/Milk program:

The Upper Grand District School Board has been testing for lead in school drinking water since 2007. New provincial testing requirements came into effect July 2017, which increase the amount of sampling that is required. The Ontario drinking water quality standard for lead is 10 micrograms per litre. This standard is based on a national guideline set by Health Canada.

Brisbane Public School operates a school nutrition program throughout the school year with the help of Children’s foundation of Guelph and Wellington. All children are invited to participate in our snack bins in the classroom as well as a freshly prepared snack twice a week.

Speak up about concussions – Rowan’s Law Day is September 26
On September 26, schools across the Upper Grand District School Board will be marking Rowan’s Law Day – a day to raise awareness about concussions.

We had an anti-bullying presentation today for grades 3-6 students from Elsie Morden who talked about the importance of being yourself, following your dreams and being with people who support you.
