School Council Information
WHY JOIN THE COLLEGE HEIGHTS’ SCHOOL COUNCIL?
Serving on the College Height’s School Council is a way to have a direct and positive impact on your child’s educational experience. Research shows that when parents are involved in their child’s education, the level of student achievement increases.
The College Heights’ School Council is a committee of parents, community representatives, and staff members. School councils have an advisory role. They help to provide the community voice and parent perspective on important school topics.
The College Heights’ School Council meets monthly on the second Monday of the month. Council meetings allow parents to hear first-hand what is happening in the school, plan for upcoming events, and bring ideas forward. Principal Richard gives his Principal’s Report about school activities and initiatives. Staff members in attendance also provide reports about courses, teams, and events. The members of the school council give updates on council activities. This is a good way to have input into your school community.
