- Orange Shirt Day is September 30th. A day when we honour the Indigenous children who were sent away to residential schools in Canada and learn more about the history of those schools. Please remember to wear an Orange shirt on Wednesday September 30th to honor others. More announcements to come about why Orange shirt day is such an important event.
- Good Morning Huskies! Today is the first day of Terry Fox Week! The Terry Fox Run will look a little different this year but we know Huskies will rise to the challenge. This year marks a special anniversary for the Terry Fox Run. It is the 40th Anniversary. The Terry Fox Foundation has challenged Canadians to meet the “What’s Your 40?” Challenge. So Huskies, to answer the question “What’s your 40?” We will be attempting to collectively walk 40km!!! Don’t worry we are all going to work together and we have a week to meet the challenge. When you have a break in the morning with your teacher, you can go for a walk. One lap around the school is approximately half a kilometre. After you get back from your walk, your teacher can let Ms Worgan know how far you walked. Everyday, we will get an update on how far along we are on our challenge! Let’s do
