Small Engines

Do you love to hit the trails on an ATV or snowmobile? Do you like the challenge of figuring out what is wrong and then fixing small engines or mechanical equipment?There is a strong need for people who can service this equipment and this class will give you the skills to start your career! Small Engines is a class full of hands-on learning that will build skills to help you earn your pay! In this course, students will take on class projects that may include:• Basic hand tool function and tool fabrication project • Disassemble, inspect, reassemble and run a 4-stroke engine • Disassemble and run a 2-cycle engine • Engine electrical projects including – Ignition systems – Starting systems and charging systems • Snowmobiles, ATV’s, lawn tractors and snow blowers are only a few of the projects.

This program focuses on hands-on skills throughout the different grades. These skills will be used during the course and are transferable to a career path in small engines.
