Welcome to Lotions, Potions and Balms: Personal Care Series! This is not wizardry school, but in these workshops you will discover the secrets of making your own personal care products. These recipes are quick and easy and nearly all ingredients can be found at your local grocer. Best of all, you can personalize them to suit your own senses. You will walk away from the workshop with creatively packaged products to use or gift.

LOTIONS, POTIONS & BALMS: LIP BALM & TINTED TOO!

This balm is ideal for soft lips, cuticles, smile lines, flyaway hair and even rubbed on cheeks when outdoors in the cold weather! Keep it in your purse or pocket for use anytime. After hard work in the garden, in the kitchen, or during a cold dry winter, simply scrub a dollop of sugar scrub all over hands and wrists for an invigorating treat. Also for your hands, mix up this natural hand sanitizer. Keep it in your purse, or pocket and use it when good old soap and water aren’t available. A $30 materials fee is payable to the instructor.

SOAP MAKING 101

Learn the fundamentals of Traditional Soap Making in this hands-on workshop where you will learn the techniques, ingredients and equipment needed to make your own sudsy bars. We will touch on some “fun science” (the backbone of soap making), the differences in ingredients, soap making methods and techniques to then create your own custom bars equalling over 2 lbs or 10 bars. Participants will mix, customize and mold your own bars to take home. All supplies including a detailed handout containing all the information discussed during the class with recipes and instructions. A bonus suppliers list is also included. Participants must have legs covered and closed toed shoes. Safety glasses and aprons will be provided.
A $75 material fee is payable to the instructor.
