Orangeville/Dufferin and Erin Secondary French Immersion (FI) Impact Assessment
An Orangeville/Dufferin and Erin French Immersion (FI) Impact Assessment – Initiation Report was approved by the Board on October 22, 2019.
The impact assessment will consider secondary programming in Orangeville, Dufferin and Erin including; the history of FI, enrolment, cohort sizes, and participation and retention rate information. Consideration will be given to secondary FI programs throughout UGDSB and to the learning from other board processes including the Secondary FSL Review, the Long Term Accommodation Plan and Secondary Program Review.
This assessment will not result in recommendations about changes to secondary FI programs or locations. Rather, the outcome of this work will provide trustees with considerations for future processes.
The final report will be presented to Trustees at the Business Operations Committee meeting on December 10, 2019.
