Hi Eramosa Families!
Welcome back to warmer temperatures (although very wet and messy), fingers crossed it stays that way! This week we have few fun days that get us outside, save energy and get active!
Wednesday is Winter Walk Day and we will be participating by going for a winter walk around our school grounds. More information is available here: http://ontarioactiveschooltravel.ca/winter-walk-day/
Thursday is National Sweater Day: Eramosa will be participating in a UGDSB initiative to save energy by wearing another layer to stay warm. Everyone is encouraged to wear their favourite warm sweater to save energy! More information is available here: https://schools.wwf.ca/events/national-sweater-day-2019/
Friday we are encouraging everyone to wear their favourite hockey or any sport jersey in honour of Saturday being Hockey Day in Canada. Hockey is just one example of many sports and activities we can participate in during the winter and the Gr 6 Leadership Team would like to share this excitement with all our students. Tuesday Feb 12th at 7pm will be the next School Council meeting at the school. All are welcome to attend.
The ERAMOSA PS/UGDSB APP is available for download and now it has an exciting new feature as Push Notifications (The red dot that appears on an app or a message on your home screen) are now available allowing families with the app to know when new information has been added to the website or if there is an important message. Also the app is handy as a one stop shop for all things going on at Eramosa like the calendar, news, bus cancellations and SchoolCash Online. The weather seems to be all over the place and can’t make up its mind. If possible please pack an extra pair or two of mitts, warm socks and other items your child(ren) may need to stay warm and dry throughout the day. Thanks!
