EQAO Testing this week and other important @ERAMOSA news!

Posted May 21, 2019

Hi Eramosa Families!
We hope that everyone had a restful and fun filled long weekend!
-Moving In – Moving Out? If you are planning a move to another school this summer, or know of someone moving into our school area for the 2019-2020 school year, please notify the office as soon as possible.

-Thanks to everyone who donated to our Jump Rope for Heart event! The weather was perfect, everyone skipped hard, the grade 6s did a great job leading it and thanks to Mrs. Shaw for making it all happen!

-EQAO testing starts TODAY, Tuesday May 21st for the week. If you have a child in grade 3 or 6 please try to avoid disruption by having them at school on time and rescheduling appointments if possible. Also, if you were able to volunteer an hour or more to help students complete the test by scribing for them please call the office. Thanks!

-Track and Field News PLEASE READ – This year our school’s track and field meet (Gr 1 to 6) will be May 29th at the school, please ensure your child(ren) are dressed appropriately for the weather. Something new this year is that instead of a regional meet held at Erin PS for grades 1 to 6, top finishers for events in grades 4 to 6 will be invited to a track meet at the University of Guelph. Good luck to all our Eagles!

-Grade 6 Graduation is Monday June 24th in the evening. Please mark your calendars for this important event!

-A giant THANKS to everyone who donated equipment to help spread our mulch piles. We had an energetic ECO crew spread it on our gardens and they look great!

– We have many events happening at our school. For our full calendar and up to date information from the school, school board and connected community organizations visit our website: https://www.ugdsb.ca/eramosa/ and make sure you are signed up for the UG CONNECTS app for all important school and school board websites in one spot https://www.ugdsb.ca/eramosa/2019/03/24/pass-the-word-eramosa-connects-on-the-go/

– The school is in need of a person who would be willing to be a fill in lunch supervisor. This role helps students during the lunch hour both during the eating portion inside and outside for play. Please call the school office if interested for more information. Thanks!
